California Fitness: FIT Start!

Last week, I was the lucky few who got the chance to experience the California Fitness FIT Start program! So what exactly is the FIT Start program?

"You FIT Start training session, with one of our fitness professionals, is one of the most effective ways of getting started on the right track towards achieving your fitness goals."

So when we arrived at the outlet in Ngee Ann City, we changed and got ready for the program! We were introduced to our personal trainer and started off with this!

It's a really cool machine that takes down not only your weight, but your muscle mass, fat mass and other complicated body staff *lost*

Well luckily for us, we had our trainer to explain every single digit and chart for us! 

We also filled up a form which allows us to state our medical history so our trainer can monitor our progress and not make us overwork.

Starting with a 10 minutes warm up that was already quite torturous T.T

We moved to the TRX section. 

It is a type suspension training that is extremely versatile and is suitable for beginners to experts! According to my trainer, girls LOVE this!!


With all the detailed instructions given by the trainer, I able to do everything correctly and could really feel the part that was focused on working.

AND I WAS SUPER AMAZED CAUSE THAT SUSPENSION THINGY MADE ME SO TIRED AND SORE (the next day)!

Died.

Notice how my trainer was constantly smiling? Because I kept giving comments like
"Omg I'm going to die."
"Omg 10 packs tomorrow, I swear."
"I think my arms will become like yours after this."
"Wth it so torturous to be buff. How the on earth did you do this."

And the list goes on.. LOL.

Thankfully, he was an extremely nice guy that laughed and entertained me, and at the same time encouraged me to finish all the sets. I mean, he really didn't give me any mercy because he knew I could finish them all! Which was also good so I know I am really working to my maximum! 

After the TRX session, we sat down and he talked to us about working out outside gym because I told him I hardly gym because it is inconvenient for me. He really enlightened me because apparently, jogging longer doesn't mean burning more fats! In fact, over-working causes your body to burn your muscles instead.

He then advised me to do my usual crunches, static hold, etc, before going for a jog. The jog also shouldn't last for more than an hour, 20-40 minutes is the best.

Important lesson learnt.
