Went to Jalan Basar Stadium today together with Andy. He got free tickets to watch the match between Etoile (pronounced as "eh-tuah") and Tampines Rovers.
It was my first time watching a live soccer match at a stadium. I prepared food, comics, newspaper and even brought along my homework - i was expecting myself to sleep through the match.
BUT I WAS WRONG.
The atmosphere was freaking lively. Drums, cheers and jeers. We sat at the "Etoile supporter site" and the crowd was mad. I didnt really like it when they jeer, but i guess that's how a soccer match goes. It was ironical watching Singaporeans jeer at the Singapore team. Oh, btw, Etoile is a French team.
The match was predictable but it wasnt that bad. I guess the supporters made a difference.
